NEW YORK, Dec. 19 (UPI) -- First-time parents-to-be Peta Murgatroyd and Maksim Chmerkovskiy celebrated at their baby shower over the weekend. The 30-year-old Australian and 36-year-old American Dancing with the Stars pros were fêted by family and friends Sunday at the McCarren Hotel & Pool in Brooklyn, N.Y.

"It's all about the love today with baby daddy @maksimc @shakeandsharemedia #babyshower," Murgatroyd captioned a photo of herself with Chmerkovskiy at the party.
"I'm the luckiest guy in the world! We're almost 'three' and I couldn't be more excited about our life together! I'm in love with you @petamurgatroyd and I can't wait... #babychmerkovskiy @shakeandsharemedia," Chmerkovskiy added on his own account.
Chmerkovskiy's brother, Val Chmerkovskiy, and his rumored girlfriend, Amber Rose, were among the guests. Several guests brought along their own children, much to Murgatroyd and Chmerkovskiy's delight.
"Thank you to everyone who came. The love in the room was apparent and all the babies made us feel at ease about bringing a kid into this crazy world. If our children are half as close as we have been through the years, they will have a large family of loyal friends to fall back on!" Chmerkovskiy wrote.
Murgatroyd and Chmerkovksiy got engaged in December 2015 and announced Murgatroyd's pregnancy in June. The couple celebrated the one-year anniversary of their engagement this month by dedicating sweet posts to each other on Instagram.
"To my best friend, with whom I get to spend the rest of my life with.....You are everything that I've always dreamed of and I can't wait for the next 50 years where I can fall asleep beside you, and fall in love all over again #happyanniversary #inlove #soontobethree," Murgatroyd wrote at the time.
Murgatroyd and Chmerkovksiy met on Dancing with the Stars in 2011. Murgatroyd sat out Season 23 due to her pregnancy, but Chmerkovskiy was partnered with Rose.
