Tony Hale to headline IFC's first holiday special

NEW YORK, Nov. 25 (UPI) -- Emmy Award-winner Tony Hale is to headline IFC's first holiday-themed, comedy and music entertainment program.

Joe's Pub Presents: A Holiday Special will be taped in front of a live audience on Wednesday at Joe's Pub inside the historic Public Theater in downtown Manhattan. It will air on the cable network on Dec. 21.

Among the other performers expected to take the stage are Bridget Everett, Jo Firestone and Jen Kirkman. The funk and soul group The Dap-Kings will serve as the house band for the evening.

Additional artists will be announced shortly, IFC said.
