LOS ANGELES, Oct. 27 (UPI) -- Anna Kendrick appeared on Ellen to discuss her new book, her upcoming film Trolls, and her co-star Justin Timberlake.

"Isn't he the worst," Kendrick joked to host Ellen DeGeneres.

"I was talking about this the other day with somebody," DeGeneres said, "There's nothing he can't do."

"If that was true," Kendrick replied. "I saw him trying to fumble through figuring out social media when we were on our press tour. There was a point when I think someone had explained Instagram story to him and he was on the red carpet and I was like, 'The camera's facing the wrong way. I know you just had a kid but you're immediately like the ultimate dad.'"

Kendrick said that recording a song with Timberlake for the movie's soundtrack was "a career highlight."

"He's very good at what he does," she said. "When it comes to music he kind of knows what he's doing."

Kendrick also talked about her new memoir, Scrappy Little Nobody, which is set to be released in November.

"It's weird to see you holding it," Kendrick said to DeGeneres. "It was in my brain for so long!"
