Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta will be the halftime entertainer at Super Bowl LI in Houston on Feb. 5.

You might know her better as Lady Gaga.

The 30-year-old singer tweeted confirmation Thursday evening: "It's not an illusion. The rumors are true. This year the SUPER BOWL goes GAGA! @nfl @FOXTV @pepsi #PERFECTILLUSION #GAGASUPERBOWL"

It will be back-to-back Super Bowl appearances for Gaga, who sang the national anthem ahead of Super Bowl 50 between the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers. Coldplay, Beyonce and Bruno Mars were the halftime entertainers in February at Santa Clara, Calif.

ESPN reported that an NFL spokesman said the league isn't paying Gaga for her performance, and she isn't paying the league for the right to appear before what annually ranks as the nation's top television audience.

Gaga might not have been the NFL's first choice for Super Bowl LI halftime, though. Adele told fans during an August performance in Los Angeles that she turned down an invitation to take the field in Houston.

"First of all, I'm not doing the Super Bowl," Adele said. "I mean, come on, that show is not about music. And I don't really -- I can't dance or anything like that. They were very kind, they did ask me, but I said no."
