Kate Gosselin reveals 'Kate Plus 8' will return in 2017

The reality star and her eight children have starred on TV since 2007.

WERNERSVILLE, Pa., Sept. 30 (UPI) -- Kate Gosselin says Kate Plus 8 will return to television in early 2017.

The 41-year-old reality star announced her family will appear on a new, "full season" of the TLC series while responding to comments on an Instagram post.

"We are! Full season of Kate Plus 8 returning in January! #Yay," she wrote. Gosselin had initially shared a photo of her son Aaden with their dog Nanuq.

"I asked Aaden to keep Nanuq company for a few minutes while I cleaned her area...this is what he did! They played toys and snuggled! #ILoveThisBoy #TrueLoveForHisPup #Dedication," she captioned the picture.

Gosselin and her eight children have starred on nine seasons of Kate Plus 8 since 2007. Fans shared their excitement for the new season in the comments following the reality star's announcement.

"Thank you @kateplusmy8 for sharing you life with us. My daughter is now 17 and a senior, we've been watching since day one!" one person wrote.

"Yes!! Cannot wait for the new season!! Love your family and watching your kids grow up. Been watching since the beginning.....cant wait!!" another added.

Gosselin shares 15-year-old twins Cara and Mady and 12-year-old sextuplets Aaden, Alexis, Collin, Hannah, Joel and Leah, with ex-husband Jon Gosselin. The show was initially named Jon & Kate Plus 8 but was changed after the couple's divorce in 2009.
