NEW YORK, Sept. 28 (UPI) -- Lin-Manuel Miranda is set to host the Oct. 8 edition of Saturday Night Live.

NEW YORK, Sept. 28 (UPI) -- Lin-Manuel Miranda is set to host the Oct. 8 edition of Saturday Night Live. "I...have a bit of a week next week," Miranda tweeted Wednesday.
Best known for his Broadway musicals Hamilton and In the Heights, the 36-year-old New Yorker has already won the Emmy, Grammy, Tony and Pulitzer Prize for his work.
The alternative music duo Twenty One Pilots will make its SNL debut alongside Miranda. The band's songs include "Ride," "Blurryface" and "Heathens."
SNL will kick off its 42nd season Saturday with host Margot Robbie and musical guest The Weeknd.
