NEW YORK, Sept. 23 (UPI) -- Anthony Anderson shared his theory that legendary musician Stevie Wonder can see while appearing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

The comedic claim came after the Black-ish star shared with Colbert how Wonder, who was born blind, was able to beat him in a game of basketball.

"Did you challenge Stevie Wonder to a basketball game? You were gonna dunk on Stevie?" Colbert asked.

"What you all don't know is that Stevie can see," Anderson replied. "It's just an act."

After describing how Wonder was able to find him during an onstage encounter, Anderson shared what happened during the basketball game and admitted that he did indeed lose.

"Yes, I did challenge him to a game of one-on-one basketball for a charity event he does for his son for intercity youth," the actor explained.. "He said, 'Anthony, I don't want to embarrass you one-on-one, so let's just do it free throws and he won....Stevie Wonder won."

"I'm telling you, have him on the show [and] put stuff in his way," he said to Colbert. "I bet you he step over it."
