LOS ANGELES, Sept. 20 (UPI) -- Kristin Bell and Ellen DeGeneres traveled back to the '90s Tuesday when they auditioned to join the Spice Girls.

The pair were seen donning platform shoes, colorful outfits and in DeGeneres' case, pink hair extensions as a way to join the Spice Girls after members Victoria Beckham and Mel C announced they were skipping out on an upcoming reunion tour.

"They're holding auditions for two spots in the group," DeGeneres said. "Kristen and I are the perfect choice-- obviously."

As the duo performed the band's signature hit "Wannabe," DeGeneres noted how she was perfect for the Spice Girls since she knows "a lot of spices: smoked paprika, rosemary, thyme, chili peppers, nutmeg, oregano."

As their performance came to an end, Bell was certain they would be chosen. "We're gonna get this!" she said with DeGeneres adding, "I think so."

Recently, Spice Girls member Mel B confirmed that the upcoming reunion would be a partial one alongside Emma Burton and Geri Halliwell noting, "We are going to do something, us three. We're gonna perform and celebrate together for the people."
