LOS ANGELES, Aug. 23 (UPI) -- Heather Locklear delighted fans with her return to television Monday evening.

The 54-year-old actress, who last played Rachel King on Franklin & Bash in 2013, debuted as first lady Katelyn Thomas in Tyler Perry's Too Close to Home series premiere.

A clip from the episode sees Locklear make an icy impression as Katelyn as she confronts the president's mistress, Anna (Danielle Savre). The series follows Anna as she deals with the fallout of the affair.

"All I can tell you is that Heather Locklear is going to be one of the most cold-blooded people you have ever seen in film," Perry told Entertainment Tonight at the show's Los Angeles premiere last week.

"Before bad girls were good, she was great," he added of the actress' Melrose Place character, Amanda Woodward. "It was a bit intimidating [working with her] because it's Heather Locklear. Who didn't have the poster on the wall?"

In addition to Melrose Place, Locklear is known for playing Caitlin Moore on Spin City and Chloe on Hot in Cleveland. Too Close to Home airs on TLC.
