SEATTLE, June 4 (UPI) -- Johannesburg, South Africa, will be the first stop on The Grand Tour for show co-hosts Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, Amazon announced.

The pre-recorded, studio section of the program will be filmed in front of a live audience, all housed within a giant tent, next month.

"We love that Jeremy, Richard and James are touring the studio recordings of The Grand Tour, bringing this Amazon Original Series to fans around the world," Jay Marine, vice president of Amazon Video Europe, said in a statement. "Given the popularity of Jeremy, Richard and James in South Africa, Johannesburg is a fantastic place to start. We're excited to give fans the opportunity to be part of the first ever live studio audience for The Grand Tour."

The show is to debut this fall for Amazon Prime members.

Clarkson was fired from the British version of Top Gear a year ago after a dustup with a producer, and May and Hammond refused to do the show without Clarkson.

A revamped version of Top Gear premiered with low ratings and new hosts last month on the BBC.
