'Top Gear' to return for sixth season April 26

LOS ANGELES, March 26 (UPI) -- Top Gear co-host Rutledge Wood has announced the car-themed, U.S. series will kick off its sixth season April 26 on the History channel, with Adam Ferrara and Tanner Foust also set to return.

"Great news! #TopGear on @HISTORY returns Tuesday April 26th!! It's going to be crazy!!" Wood tweeted.

His co-host Adam Ferrara retweeted Wood's post and separately joked that he learned about the start date from a fan via Twitter.

"Just saw this & laughed out loud! I guess its official NEW episodes of #TopGear start Tuesday April 26th 9/8c," read Ferrara's post.
