LOS ANGELES, March 18 (UPI) -- Alexis Bledel and Kelly Bishop are back for Netflix's forthcoming Gilmore Girls revival.
The 34-year-old actress and her 72-year-old onscreen grandmother reunited on the revival's set Thursday. Bledel and Bishop will reprise Rory Gilmore and Emily Gilmore on the series.
Tanc Sade, who plays Finn, shared a photo with the actresses on set, writing, "Quick snap w/ @alexisbledel #KellyBishop Sorry it's so fuzzy. #gilmoregirls #rorygilmore #gg @GilmoreWords."
Netflix announced the revival in January and confirmed Bledel and Lauren Graham will return as Rory and her mom, Lorelai Gilmore. Scott Patterson will reprise Luke Danes, with Keiko Agena as Lane Kim and Yanic Truesdale as Michel Gerard.
"Alexis and I walked onto the set together ... [and] walking onto that set really felt like something," Graham told TV Line in January. "It felt like a lot of time had passed and it felt like we were just there. It felt amazing."
"[Fans will be happy] for sure," she added. "I read a scene with Kelly today... and it was just completely alive. We have some really nice story together. And there's definitely some resolution that we didn't get [at the end of show's original run]."
Gilmore Girls had a seven-season run from 2000 to 2007. Melissa McCarthy confirmed she won't return as Sookie St. James in interviews this week, but said she is "excited" for the revival and "will watch it" from home.
