Ariel Winter and Sarah Hyland debut new hair colors

LOS ANGELES, March 11 (UPI) -- Ariel Winter and Sarah Hyland both debuted new hair colors this week.

The 18-year-old actress and her 25-year-old Modern Family co-star showed off their new looks on social media after wrapping Season 7 of the ABC sitcom Monday.

"I'm now a [strawberry]," Winter captioned a video clip of her fiery locks Thursday.

Hyland unveiled dark hair two days previous, writing, "Hello from the darker side." Her tresses initially appeared blue-black, but she posted a clearer photo Wednesday.

"Thank you @NikkiLee901 for my new color! I love it. Change. Is. Good," she captioned the snapshot.

Winter and Hyland play sisters Alex and Haley Dunphy on Modern Family. The series co-stars Ed O'Neill, Sofia Vergara, Julie Bowen and Ty Burrell, and airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET.

"Happiness, I've learned, comes from within," Hyland said in the May issue of Seventeen. "I am happiest when I am doing something I love. And I love Modern Family -- it's the best job I've had in my 20 years as an actress."

Winter made headlines earlier this week for defending Kim Kardashian's latest nude selfie. She showed her support for the 35-year-old reality star after Kardashian came under heavy fire for posting a nude post-baby photo on Instagram.

"No one was body shaming @justinbieber when he posted his nude guitar photo so why @KimKardashian? #herbodyherchoice #InternationalWomensDay," Winter tweeted.

Winter shared similar sentiments when discussing her breast reduction surgery in a February essay. The actress told fans she underwent the surgery for herself and not because of mean comments or what anyone else thought.
