NEW YORK, March 2 (UPI) -- Fuller House star Jodie Sweetin will compete on Dancing with the Stars Season 22.
The 34-year-old actress confirmed she will appear on the ABC reality competition on Wednesday's episode of Good Morning America. Sweetin will be partnered with professional dancer Keo Motsepe, who joined the series in Season 19.
"I would have loved to do it in the past, but it was a huge scheduling conflict with Fuller House at the time, so I wasn't able to do it," Sweetin explained. "I'm a huge fan of the show ... I've always loved to dance ... [but] I definitely don't call myself a professional."
"I'm dancing with Keo," she announced. "We have just had the first couple days. It's so fun. We got through some basic moves of several different styles of dance. We had a lot of fun with it and he and I get along really well ... He's a phenomenal dancer and such a doll."
Sweetin said Fuller House co-star Candace Cameron Bure, who competed on Season 18, has been "really great and excited" for her. The actress shared the news with her 400,000 Instagram followers following her GMA appearance.
"Finally!!! I can share the fantastic news that I'll be joining DWTS @dancingabc season!! Can't wait!!" she wrote. "I have the amazing @keo_motsepe as my partner on this wild ride!! #teamkeoandjodie #dwts #season22."
Word of Sweetin's casting broke shortly before Netflix announced it will renew Fuller House for a second season. The Full House sequel series co-stars Bure, Bob Saget, John Stamos and Lori Loughlin, and released a first season Feb. 26.
Dancing with the Stars premiered in 2005 and will return March 21. Former pro Julianne Hough announced she will not return as a judge in February, and her brother, reigning champion Derek Hough, is also reportedly out for Season 22.
