LOS ANGELES, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Paget Brewster will return to Criminal Minds in the spring.

The CBS series confirmed the news Wednesday on Twitter, writing, "Emily Prentiss is back! #PagetBrewster returns for one episode of #CriminalMinds to air later this spring."

"Dusting off my boots and badge to run 'n gun with my pals one more time! #CriminalMinds," Brewster tweeted in response.

The Season 11 episode will see Emily team up with the BAU to catch an "elusive international unsub," according to TV Guide. The character still works at Interpol and believes the suspect is planning an attack on America.

Brewster played Emily on Seasons 1 though 7 before leaving the police drama, and returned for the show's 200th episode in Season 9. Executive producer Erica Messer told TV Guide last year she hoped Brewster would return again soon.

"Paget is always welcome back," Messer said. "It's always about scheduling. She's busy, as she should be, she's got a new show, and it also has to make sense story-wise. We don't want to dip into that well too often. When she comes back, it has to be special and make sense."

Brewster presently plays Sara Kingsley on Grandfathered, which co-stars John Stamos and airs Tuesdays at 8:30 p.m. ET on Fox. She is also known for portraying Kathy on Friends and Debra Chambers on Community.
