Milo Ventimiglia, Matt Czuchry, Jared Padalecki confirmed for 'Gilmore Girls' return

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Milo Ventimiglia, Matt Czuchry, Liza Weil and Yanic Truesdale will reprise their Gilmore Girls roles in the upcoming, as-yet-untitled revival, Netflix confirmed.

The actors played Jess, Logan, Paris and Michel respectively on the original series, which ran seven seasons 2000-07, first on The WB and then on The CW.

A premiere date for the sequel has not been announced yet, but the streaming service said it will consist of four, 90-minute episodes.

Created, written and directed by Amy Sherman-Palladino and executive produced, written and directed by Daniel Palladino, the show will feature the returns of the original series' stars Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Scott Patterson, Kelly Bishop, Keiko Agena and Sean Gunn. Melissa McCarthy has said she was not asked back for the followup.

Variety reported Jared Padalecki will also be back as Dean Forester and David Sutcliffe as Rory Gilmore's father Chris.
