LOS ANGELES, Feb. 5 (UPI) -- Matt Czuchry has reportedly joined the Gilmore Girls revival.

Sources told TVLine the 38-year-old actor will return for the four-part Netflix special. Czuchry played Logan Huntzberger on the original series, and was last seen leaving for California after Rory (Alexis Bledel) rejected his marriage proposal.

"Our plan is to get as many of [Rory's] lovely men back as possible," series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino told the website Tuesday. "We're still dealing with who's going to be in it. We definitely want to see them. And we have storylines planned."

Netflix confirmed the special last week after months of rumors about a potential movie or revival. Czuchry previously told E! News that he prepared for the show's cast reunion at the ATX Television Festival in June by re-watching the WB/CW series.

"One of the things that stands out is Amy Sherman-Palladino just created a great character there," the actor said. "That show was incredibly well-written and of course the wit and the fast pace that made Gilmore Girls so unique -- it was fun to revisit that."

Gilmore Girls had a seven-season run from 2000 to 2007. Lauren Graham will also return as Rory's mom Lorelei, with Kelly Bishop as Rory's grandmother Emily and Scott Patterson as Lorelei's beau Luke. Melissa McCarthy, who played Sookie, said she wasn't invited back for the revival.

Czuchry has since played Chris Kennedy on NBC drama Friday Night Lights, and presently portrays Cary Agos on CBS series The Good Wife. The legal drama stars Julianna Margulies as Alicia Florrick and airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET.
