LONDON, Oct. 13 (UPI) -- Broadcast journalist Piers Morgan will start co-hosting Good Morning Britain three days a week with Susanna Reid in November, ITV announced Tuesday.

"I am very excited at the prospect of waking up at 3 a.m. every morning, and even more excited by the thought of how annoying Susanna is going to find me after a few months," Morgan said in a statement.

"Good Morning Britain is a great show with a terrific team on- and off-screen. I'm looking forward to it enormously."

"We're proud of the strong show we've been building over the last 18 months and that audience figures are up some seven percent year on year. We look forward to continuing that growth with Piers as part of the team," added Emma Gormley, the managing director of daytime at ITV Studios.

Morgan, 50, is the former host of CNN's Piers Morgan Live. He has served as a judge on America's Got Talent and Britain's Got Talent, and won The Celebrity Apprentice competition in 2008.
