NEW YORK, Oct. 11 (UPI) -- Batman Returns alum Paul Reubens will reprise his role as Penguin's father in Season 2 of the Batman origin series Gotham.

"So, we're all familiar with Oswald's mother, the fabulous, fabulous Carol Kane," Taylor said. "We don't know a lot about his father... We just found out that I do have a father. And he will be showing up very soon, and he will be played by none other than Paul Reubens, a.k.a. Pee-wee Herman! He's playing my dad! What! The! Hell!"

1992's Batman Returns was directed by Tim Burton. The blockbuster starred Michael Keaton as the titular crime-fighter and Danny DeVito as his nemesis Penguin.
