Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson inks development deal with Starz

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Sept. 30 (UPI) -- Starz says it has signed Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson to an exclusive, overall deal by which the actor, producer and rapper, will develop new projects for the cable TV network.

Jackson, 40, also will continue as executive producer of Starz's hit drama Power. Production on Season 3 of the series began this month.

"Starz has been the perfect partner to make Power the success that it is and I am looking forward to developing many more record-breaking series with them," Jackson said in a statement Tuesday.

"Curtis is a wonderful, hands-on producer and actor on Power and we look forward to expanding his roles behind-the-camera with Starz over the next two years," added Carmi Zlotnik, managing director of Starz.
