LOS ANGELES, Sept. 13 (UPI) -- HBO won 29 trophies at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles Saturday.

The cable television network's Game of Thrones earned eight of the prizes, most of which honor technical and behind-the-scenes achievements for the small screen. Bessie won four, Going Clear picked up three, and The Jinx and Olive Kitteridge each garnered two, The Hollywood Reporter said.

NBC scored 11 awards and FX grabbed eight.

The highest-profile Emmys of the evening were the four presented to actors and actresses for guest appearances on comedies and dramas.

Bradley Whitford was honored for his work on Transparent, Joan Cusack for her performance in Shameless, Reg E. Cathey for his role in House of Cards and Margo Martindale for her turn in The Americans.

The ceremony is to be broadcast on FXX next Saturday -- the eve of the Primetime Emmys, which will air on FX on Sept. 20.
