Brooke Burke-Charvet and Chris Harrison to co-host 2016 Miss America pageant

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J., Aug. 29 (UPI) -- Brooke Burke-Charvet is to serve as co-host for the 2016 Miss America Competition alongside Chris Harrison.

The announcement was made Friday by the Miss America Organization, dick clark productions and ABC.

The event is to take place Sept. 13 at Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall. It will be broadcast on ABC.

Judging the contest will be Brett Eldredge, Taya Kyle, Kevin O'Leary, Amy Purdy and Zendaya, as well as Nick Jonas, who will act as the official music curator of the evening.

Burke-Charvet previously helped out during the 2013 Miss America pageant.

"It's great to be back with Miss America for the 95th Anniversary competition and co-hosting with partner Chris Harrison," Burke-Charvet said in a statement. "It's always impressive and inspiring to meet the young women who strive to make a difference in their communities, while furthering their education and advancing principles of service, style and success."
