SAN DIEGO, May 29 (UPI) -- The stars of TV's Doctor Who are to take part in a panel discussion at San Diego Comic-Con July 9, BBC America announced.

This will mark Peter Capaldi's first appearance at Comic-Con with his co-stars Jenna Coleman and Michelle Gomez, lead writer and executive producer Steven Moffat, and executive producer Brian Minchin. Capaldi took over the role of the program's titular time traveler last season.

"Tales of San Diego Comic-Con are told in awe on every set around the known fantasy/sci-fi production world. It's become a fabled kingdom. One I am thrilled to find myself heading for. And to appear in the legendary Hall H, is a further twist to the cosplay and comic madness I may never recover from," Capaldi said in a statement.

The new season of Doctor Who will premiere this fall with a two-part episode.
