So far, the Netflix revival of the '90s sitcom, Full House, has a slew of the original cast like, Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Andrea Barber, John Stamos, Dave Coullier and Bob Saget, all signed on to return as their characters. The new show will pick up with a widowed DJ Tanner who invites sister Stephanie and best friend Kimmy Gibbler to move in with her to help take care of her sons.

"I'm very excited. It's going to be really great to be back with the whole cast. It'll be a lot of fun," Loughlin said. "We're going to help Candace, Jodi and Andrea spin off the new show. So we'll come back and do the first episode and maybe throughout we'll pop up here and there."

Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, who both played Michelle Tanner on the show, will not return due to other work commitments.

Robert L. Boyett, executive producer of the show, released a statement about their decision not to rejoin the cast.

The statement said, "Although Ashley and Mary-Kate will not be a part of Fuller House, I know how much Full House has meant to them and they are still very much considered family. It has been exciting to see how they have built their professional careers, and I support their choice to focus on their fashion brands and various business endeavors. I appreciate their support and good wishes towards Fuller House."

Unlike the actress' on-screen husband John Stamos, who took the news of the sisters not joining much harder, Loughlin understands their decision.

The first 13-episode season of Fuller House is set to air on Netflix in 2016.
