Evan Peters to return for 'American Horror Story: Hotel'

The actor last played Jimmy Darling on "American Horror Story: Freak Show."

LOS ANGELES, April 24 (UPI) -- Evan Peters is confirmed for American Horror Story: Hotel.

Series creator Ryan Murphy announced the news Friday on Twitter, writing, "This season, Evan Peters will be waiting for you in Room 64. #AHSHOTEL."

Peters portrayed Tate Langdon on season one of the FX series, Murder House, and went on to play Kit Walker on Asylum, Kyle Spencer on Coven and Jimmy Darling on Freak Show.

Fellow alums Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Chloe Sevigny, Wes Bentley and Matt Bomer will also star on season five. Jessica Lange will not return, but newcomers Lady Gaga and Cheyenne Jackson have joined the program.

In addition to American Horror Story, Peters is known for ABC series Invasion and portraying Peter Maximoff, aka Quicksilver, in X-Men: Days of Future Past. The 28-year-old actor is scheduled for Safelight with Juno Temple and Elvis & Nixon with Kevin Spacey.
