LOS ANGELES, March 30 (UPI) -- Meghan Trainor doesn't think the shots of herself as a housewife in her "Dear Future Husband" video are sexist.

The 21-year-old singer defended the colorful clip from allegations that it was sexist while speaking to reporters at the Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards Saturday.

"Everyone's going to say something," the singer told Entertainment Tonight. "I don't think it's sexist. I just wrote a song for my particular future husband out there, wherever he is. I'm just preparing him. Lettin' him know what's up."

Trainor, best known for her hit single "All About That Bass," also spoke about her new partnership with FullBeauty Brands at the event, claiming the brand approached her because of her empowering songs.

"I'm all about loving your body and that's why they came to me," she said.

The singer is currently headlining her first tour, the That Bass Tour, which kicked off in February and performed her newest single "Dear Future Husband" at the iHart Radio Awards on Sunday.
