PORTLAND, Ore., March 5 (UPI) -- CNN recently landed a rare interview with Prince Charles and wife Camilla Parker Bowles.

The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall spoke to London-based anchor Max Foster to promote their upcoming U.S. tour, charity work and positive public perception of Parker Bowles for CNN Spotlight: Charles and Camilla.

"Since the couple visited America as newlyweds a decade ago, the public perception of the duchess has changed," Foster said in a news release. "I wanted to explore that and give viewers a sense of what she's actually like."

Prince Charles and Parker Bowles wed in April 2005, nearly nine years after the duke's divorce from the late Princess Diana. Many disliked the duchess for her perceived role in Charles and Diana's split, and the prince acknowledged in the interview the "real challenge" of living in the public eye.

CNN Spotlight: Charles and Camilla will air March 14, three days before the royals arrive in the United States for a four-day visit. It was previously reported the couple's daughter-in-law, Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, will visit the Downton Abbey set March 12.
