NEW YORK, March 1 (UPI) -- Dakota Johnson hosted this weekend's edition of Saturday Night Live with her famous, twice-married, twice-divorced parents Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson in the audience.

During her opening monologue, the actress pointed out how her mother was the guest host on SNL in December 1988.

"Right after the show, my father got down on one knee and he proposed to her for the second time and exactly nine months later, I was born," Johnson explained. "So, I must have been conceived that night after the show or maybe even during the show. Isn't that right, you guys?"

The camera then panned to Griffith and Don Johnson, who were shielding their faces.

"What's wrong? Are you embarrassed that I told that story?" their daughter wanted to know.

"No, no, no. We were just afraid you were going to be naked," Don Johnson said, referring to her performance in the current erotic blockbuster Fifty Shades of Grey and Griffith's previously expressed vow to never see it.
