Amy Poehler receives Hasty Pudding's Woman of the Year honor

Poehler's "Parks and Recreation" co-star Chris Pratt is to be crowned the organization's Man of the Year at a ceremony on Feb. 6.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Jan. 30 (UPI) -- Actress, writer and producer Amy Poehler was presented with the Hasty Pudding Theatricals' Woman of the Year Award Thursday.

Poehler, a Saturday Night Live alum and three-time Golden Globe Awards co-host, led a parade through the streets of Cambridge, Mass., then participated in a celebratory roast presided over by members of Harvard University's Hasty Pudding troupe, which is the oldest theatrical organization in the United States. It was founded in 1795.

Established in 1951, the Woman of the Year Award has been given to many notable entertainers including Meryl Streep, Katharine Hepburn, Julia Roberts, Jodie Foster, Elizabeth Taylor, Anne Hathaway, Claire Danes, Marion Cotillard and Helen Mirren.
