NEW YORK, Nov. 24 (UPI) -- Lisa Bonet's manager says the actress did not write the karma-themed tweet that had the Internet wondering if she was breaking her silence about the Bill Cosby sex scandal.

The pair played father Cliff and daughter Denise on the classic 1980s sitcom The Cosby Show. Cosby has been at the center of a media firestorm for weeks as more than a dozen women have come forward to accuse him of raping them over the last several decades.

"According to the karma of past actions, one's destiny unfolds, even though everyone wants to be so lucky . . . Nothing stays in the dark 4ever!" said a recent post on a Twitter account purported to be Bonet's, which was later deactivated, The New York Post said.

Bonet's representative subsequently denied the message was posted by the actress.

"Lisa Bonet has no social media of any kind," her manager told People.com. "Any posts made in her name were made by impersonators with unverified accounts. She also has no comment on the ongoing story."

Cosby, 77, has vehemently denied the allegations and has never been charged with a crime in connection with the accusations. The comedian played Denise's doting doctor dad Cliff on the series, but the Post said rumors have persisted for years about tension between the co-stars. The buzz was usually credited, however, to Bonet's decision to go against The Cosby Show's clean-cut image and appear in a sex scene with Mickey Rourke in Angel Heart in 1987 and a nude photo spread in a magazine a year later.
