LOS ANGELES, Oct. 31 (UPI) -- Alyssa Milano won't return for season three of Mistresses, and her character Savi's fate remains unknown.

The 41-year-old actress portrayed Savannah "Savi" Davis on two seasons of the ABC series, but left the program to dedicate more time to her family. Milano told Entertainment Weekly she is willing to try and resolve the storyline, but only if they film in L.A. and the plot does the character justice.

"I don't know what is happening with that," she related. "I just know that I am not going back. I don't know how they're going to wrap it up."

"They're either going to need me to come, or they're going to jump cut it," she acknowledged. "I don't think coming back for one episode is really going to do that storyline must justice ... She's going to go off and disappear? Like, she's going to kill herself? I don't see how one episode is going to wrap that up."

Mistresses premiered on ABC in 2013, and co-stars Rochelle Aytes, Yunjin Kim and Jes Maccallan as April Malloy, Karen Kim and Josslyn "Joss" Carver. The series was originally shot in Los Angeles, but will relocate to Vancouver, Canada for season three.

"I have two babies under 4," Milano explained earlier this month. "Being a mother and wife comes first and I just can not uproot my children and separate the family by moving away. I will miss this job desperately and wish everyone the absolute best."

Milano and agent David Bugliari have been married since August 2009, and have a 3-year-old son and newborn daughter. The actress will continue to serve as a host on Lifetime reality competition Project Runway: All Stars.
