NEW YORK, Oct. 21 (UPI) -- Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany and Newsroom cast member Thomas Sadoski will headline the world premiere of Neil LaBute's play The Way We Get By, producers announced Tuesday.

Directed by Leigh Silverman, the Second Stage Theatre production will mark Maslany's New York stage debut.

Sadoski earned a Tony Award nomination for his performance in LaBute's reasons to be pretty.

"Maslany and Sadoski star as Beth and Doug: two people who have no problems getting dates with their partners of choice," said a synopsis for The Way We Get By. "What they do have, however, is a very awkward encounter after spending one hot night together following a drunken wedding reception they attend. They wake up to a blurry morning where the rules of attraction, sex and society are waiting for them before their first cup of coffee, leading them to ponder how much they really know about each other and how much they really care about what other people think."

Preview performances are to begin May 12. The show is scheduled to run through June 28.
