Lisa Kudrow reprises Valerie Cherish in 'The Comeback' trailer

"The Comeback" originally debuted on HBO in 2005.

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 20 (UPI) -- Lisa Kudrow stars in a new trailer for HBO series The Comeback.

The 51-year-old actress reprises Valerie Cherish, a washed up sitcom star who agrees to appear on reality show The Comeback. The preview sees the character land a role on fictional HBO series Seeing Red, and subsequently cause trouble on set.

The Comeback is created and executive produced by Kudrow and Michael Patrick King (Sex and the City), and originally premiered in 2005. The series gained cult status after its cancellation, and will return for six-episode second season November 9. Dan Bucatinsky co-stars as publicist Billy Stanton, with Kellan Lutz as actor Chris MacNess and Malin Akerman as actress Juna Millken.

Kudrow is best known for her role as Phoebe Buffay on NBC sitcom Friends, and has since starred as Fiona Wallice on Showtime series Web Therapy and Congresswoman Josephine Marcus on ABC drama Scandal. The actress last appeared alongside Seth Rogen and Zac Efron in Neighbors.
