LOS ANGELES, Oct. 2 (UPI) -- Lana Del Rey is coming to American Horror Story: Freak Show.

Star Jessica Lange will cover a song by the 29-year-old singer on the upcoming season of the FX horror series. Creator Ryan Murphy teased the news Tuesday in response to a fan's fear of the Freak Show trailers.

"Tina, don't be afraid!" he tweeted. "The clown is scary, true. But don't you wanna see Jessica Lange sing a Lana Del Rey song?"

Lange will portray Elsa Mars, a German expatriate and manager of one of the last remaining freak shows in the United States. Other stars include Sarah Paulson as conjoined twins Bette and Dot Tattler, Michael Chiklis as strongman performer Wendell del Toredo, Angela Bassett as Wendell's wife Desiree Dupree, Kathy Bates as Wendell's ex-wife and bearded woman Ethel Darling and John Carroll Lynch as Twisty the Clown. American Horror Story: Freak Show will premiere October 8.

Del Rey released her third studio album, Ultraviolence, in June. The record debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and has sold more than one million copies as of July. The album includes the singles "West Coast," "Shades of Cool" and "Brooklyn Baby."
