LOS ANGELES, Oct. 1 (UPI) -- A Big television series is in the works at 20th Century Fox TV.

The comedy will be loosely based on 1988 film Big, which starred Tom Hanks as Josh Baskin. The character transforms from a 12-year-old boy into a 30-year-old man after wishing to be "big," and the TV adaptation will explore "what it means to be an adult and what it means to be a kid, and how in today's world those two things are more confused than ever."

20th Century Fox TV recently signed a new deal with Jenna Elfman to develop and star in a new comedy or drama series.
