UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif., Sept. 29 (UPI) -- Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D. and Law & Order: SVU will be united for a three-part crossover event airing Nov. 11-12, NBC announced Monday.

The three shows will share a storyline about a child pornography ring that stretches from Chicago to New York, the network said.

"Warren Leight -- SVU showrunner -- and Matt Olmstead -- Chicago Fire/Chicago P.D. showrunner -- are two of the best writers in the business. We wanted to figure out a way to create a crime that connects all three shows. Warren, Matt and I came up with a story that was big and unique enough to transit to all three," the shows' executive producer Dick Wolf said in a statement.
