LOS ANGELES, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Katie Holmes revealed in an interview last week she thinks it's "super flattering" that fans of her late '90s series Dawson's Creek would like to see the main cast reunite.

"I think that show touched a certain generation," Holmes told Gossip Cop. "It was innocent at a time when innocence was very valued and present. But it had that teen angst that really revealed what everybody was going through."

The 35-year-old actress played the doe-eye character Joey Potter on the show from 1998 through 2003. Asked if she knows why fans are so keen to seeing her reprise the role, Holmes said, "maybe we all want to feel those feelings again."

Holmes has gone on to star to star in several major pictures after the WB show ended including Chris Nolan's Batman Begins in 2005. Her comments regarding Dawson's came days before Netflix removed the show from its instant streaming list on Friday.

The actress and her 8-year-old daughter, Suri Cruise, recently moved from New York to Los Angles so Holmes could revamp her acting career. She will next star in the upcoming films Miss Meadows, Mania Days and Woman in Gold.
