NASHVILLE, Aug. 21 (UPI) -- Hayden Panettiere has finally opened up about her pregnancy.

The Nashville star, 25, confirmed reports that she is expecting her first child with fiancé Wladimir Klitschko, in a video of her taking the ASL Ice Bucket Challenge. The clip was shared by Dancing With The Stars veteran Dereck Hough, who will be guest-starring in the upcoming third season of Nashville.

"I accept my ALS Challenge," the actress says in the video. "I renominate Kacey Musgraves -- you're not getting out of this, Wladimir Klitschko, and my unborn child."

Panettiere's comments about her future baby come almost two weeks after it was revealed her pregnancy will be written into the Nashville storyline. The show will return for its new season on September 24.

The actress and Klitschko have been dating intermittently since 2009. Panettiere announced the pair's engagement in October 2013 and reports that she was expecting began in May.
