Gosselin came to fame with then-husband Jon Gosselin on Jon & Kate Plus 8 in 2007. The reality show followed the couple's day-to-day lives with their eight children, twins Cara and Mady and sextuplets Alexis, Aaden, Collin, Hannah, Leah and Joel.

The title of the show was changed to Kate Plus 8 in 2009 after the couple divorced, and the series was canceled in 2011. Gosselin and the children starred in a one-hour television special in June, and the network has ordered several more episodes. The new specials will follow Gosselin and her family as they travel to Boston and other parts of New England.
