NEW YORK, Aug. 15 (UPI) -- Bill Cosby, Chelsea Peretti, Jim Jefferies and other comedians have teamed up with Netflix to appear in a series of upcoming stand-up comedy specials.

The streaming giant unveiled the lineup for their new comedic performances Thursday, stating each show will air at 3:01 a.m. EST.

Jim Jefferies' BARE will be the first program to air on August 29. The show was taped at Boston's Wilbur Theatre and finds the comedian discussing everything from politics to fatherhood and Neil Diamond. Chelsea Handler will follow on October 10 with her previously announced Uganda Be Kidding Me Live, which will mark the culmination of her stand-up tour. The talk show host is also set to star in a new Netflix series in 2016.

Chelsea Peretti's show One of the Greats will be released on November 14 and Bill Cosby 77 will follow on November 28. The show's name is a tribute to the actor's age as he taped the show on his 77th birthday on July 12. Bill Burr's I'm Sorry You Feel That Way, which was taped in Atlanta's Tabernacle, will mark the end of the stand-up series, for now, on December 5.

"Stand-up comedy is a category of original content that we're very focused on," said Netflix's vice-president of original documentary and comedy programming, Lisa Nishimura. "There's a really huge scope of types of comedy within stand-up, and we have the ability to provide that entire scope."

Both Jefferies and Cosby have noted a few of the benefits of doing stand-up for Netflix versus any other cable channel.

"People can watch it over and over again," said Jefferies, then added with a laugh, "and fast forward through the bits they don't like."

Cosby added that the absence of commercial breaks would allow for a better flow of his uninterrupted performance.
