'Big Bang Theory' production delayed twice over cast pay

Five original cast members of "The Big Bang Theory" are without contracts, pushing back production on Season 8.

LOS ANGELES, July 30 (UPI) -- Production on Season 8 of CBS' The Big Bang Theory was pushed back twice due to contract negotiations with the cast of the comedy series.

Table reads were initially slated to begin Wednesday, but were pushed back one day after there was still no agreement by Wednesday morning.

"Due to ongoing contract negotiations, production on The Big Bang Theory -- which was originally scheduled to begin today -- has been postponed," Warner Bros. TV said in a statement.

Readings were pushed back at least another day after WBTV said there were still no contracts Wednesday night.

The five original cast members of the show, Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Simon Helberg and Kunal Nayyar were all still without contracts.
