NEW YORK, July 10 (UPI) -- Rosie O'Donnell is officially confirmed to rejoin The View.

The 52-year-old television personality will co-host season eighteen of the daytime talk show alongside moderator Whoopi Goldberg. ABC confirmed the news on Thursday, on The View's official Twitter.

O'Donnell previously served as a panelist on the series from 2006 to 2007. Many attributed her departure to conflicts with former co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who slammed rumors of O'Donnell's return earlier this week.

O'Donnell and Goldberg are currently the only hosts confirmed for future seasons. Creator and co-host Barbara Walters retired in May, and co-hosts Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy announced their departure in June.
