Christian Borle joins 'Masters of Sex' ensemble

The show’s sophomore season is to begin July 13.

NEW YORK, May 23 (UPI) -- Actor Christian Borle has signed on for a recurring role in Season 2 of Masters of Sex, Showtime announced.

Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan play real-life sex researchers William Masters and Virginia Johnson in the small-screen drama.

A Tony Award-winning actor best known for his work in the Broadway shows Spamalot, Legally Blonde and Peter and the Starcatcher, as well as in TV's Smash and The Sound of Music Live!, Borle will play Frank Masters, William's brother, on Masters of Sex.

The show's sophomore season is to begin July 13.
