LOS ANGELES, May 10 (UPI) -- CBS has canceled comedy The Crazy Ones, which marked comedian Robin Williams' return to television, after just one season.

The show, which also featured Sarah Michelle Gellar's return to the small screen, had mixed reviews from critics and did poorly in the ratings, despite an initial strong start.

CBS also announced the renewal of The Mentalist for a seventh season.

Other series on the chopping block this season were Bad Teacher, Friends with Better Lives and Hostages.
