NEW YORK, May 8 (UPI) -- HGTV announced via Twitter Wednesday that they are pulling the plug on the real estate reality show Flip It Forward, starring anti-gay activist David Benham and his twin brother, Jason.

The announcement came after the group Right Wing Watch, reported that David Benham actively campaigned against LGBT equality and rights.

Benham led a prayer rally outside the 2012 Democratic Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina, which he said was to stop "homosexuality and its agenda that is attacking the nation" and "demonic ideologies tak[ing] our universities and our public school systems."

In 2012, Benham likened the fight against same-sex marriage to opposing Nazi Germany in a blog post on Operation Save America's website. In that same year, Benham wrote an op-ed in the Christian Post, saying marriage equality "erodes the moral fabric of our society."

Benham seems to follow in the footsteps of his father, Flip Benham. His father is the leader of the anti-abortion protest group Operation Save America (OSA) and has led the group since it split from the militant anti-choice group Operation Rescue. In addition to being anti-choice, Flip also condemned the interfaith Sandy Hook prayer ceremony, and has protested in front of mosques shouting, "Jesus hates Muslims!"

David said his brother, Jason, helped him organize the prayer rally. After the Right Wing Watch report was released, HGTV said it was in the "process of reviewing all information about the Benhams."
