LOS ANGELES, Feb. 26 (UPI) -- Larry King is to serve as host of "Larry King at Bat," a program on the Los Angeles Dodgers' television network, starting next month.

SportsNet LA made the announcement Tuesday, Variety reported.

The hour-long show is to premiere March 18. It was unclear how often it will air.

"In addition to being a talented and renowned TV personality, Larry King is an incredible Dodger fan," Dodger President and Chief Executive Officer Stan Kasten said in a statement. "We are so excited to officially bring him into the Dodger family."

"With my love of sports and my interviewing skills, I think it will be a happy combo," the 80-year-old King said.
