Malcolm Tierney, British actor, dead at 75

LONDON, Feb. 20 (UPI) -- British actor Malcolm Tierney has died, the BBC reported Thursday. He was 75.

The cause and location of his death were not specified.

Tierney was known for his roles in the classic films "Star Wars" and "Braveheart," as well as in the TV shows "Lovejoy," "A Bit of a Do," "Brookside," and "Dalziel and Pascoe."

He was also noted for his theater work with the Royal Shakespeare Company in the 1970s, the BBC said.
