Springsteen sings 'Gov. Christie's Traffic Jam' on 'Late Night'

NEW YORK, Jan. 15 (UPI) -- New Jersey rocker Bruce Springsteen poked fun at a political scandal involving home state Gov. Chris Christie on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon."

Christie recently held a lengthy press conference during which he denied knowing anything about his staff's involvement in closing lanes of the George Washington Bridge purposely to cause traffic problems in Fort Lee, N.J., where the Democratic mayor declined to endorse Republican Christie for re-election last fall.

Fallon dressed as Springsteen and appeared on the "Late Night" stage Tuesday to sing "Gov. Christie's Traffic Jam," which was set to the music icon's classic "Born to Run."

Mid-way through the song, the real Springsteen joined in, singing lyrics like, "Governor, let me in, I want to be your friend, there'll be no partisan divisions," and, "The highway's jammed with pissed-off drivers with no place left to go and the press conference went on and on; it was longer than one of my own shows."
