David Morrissey lands post-'Walking Dead' gig

LONDON, Jan. 10 (UPI) -- David Morrissey, whose villainous Governor was recently killed in "The Walking Dead," is to star in the British miniseries "The Driver," Deadline said.

Co-starring Ian Hart, Colm Meaney, Shaun Dingwall, Claudie Blakeley, Sacha Parkinson and Lee Ross, the three-part thriller was penned by screenwriter Danny Brocklehurst.

Morrissey is producing the miniseries, which is shooting now in Manchester. He plays a taxi driver who blames himself for a family mystery and starts driving for a criminal gang, Deadline said.
