Ford Kiernan's 12-year-old son found dead at home

GLASGOW, Scotland, Jan. 8 (UPI) -- Sonny Kiernan, the 12-year-old son of Scottish comedian and actor Ford Kiernan, has been found dead at the family home in Glasgow, the BBC reported.

The child's death Monday night is being treated as unexplained and an autopsy is expected to determine the exact cause, investigators told the British broadcaster Tuesday.

The boy's body was discovered at the home where Kiernan lives with his wife Lesley and their daughter.

Kiernan and his comedy partner Greg Hemphill are best known for their work on Scottish TV's "Still Game" and "Chewin' the Fat."
